Unilever's senior executive Banga bids adieu

M-S-Banga-UnileverUnilever's Global Foods, Home and Personal Care Business' President MS Banga is ready to bid adieu to the company. Banga, who is also popularly called Vindi Banga, has served Unilever for a long 33 years time span.

To fill in Banga's place, Unilever will bring Michael B Polk. Polk is currently the President of Unilever- America. Vindi Banga has had different roles at Unilever in his long stint. During 1995 to 1998, the man was the Director for Detergents at Unilever India (then named Hindustan Lever).

During the same time Banga was also serving Unilever's Central Asian and West Asian region as category leader for soaps and detergent division. After that, during 1998-2000, Banga served Unilever as a President for its Hair and Oral Care department. It was in the year 2004 when Banga took the charge as Unilever's Business Group President for Home and Personal Care Business in the Asian region.

In 2005, Vindi Banga took the position of the company's global foods and personal care division, a position that he currently holds. Banga was also running for the CEO of the company. Banga will be finally leaving the company in May 2010.
