Two US soldiers killed in Iraq
Baghdad - Two US soldiers were killed in separate attacks in the Iraqi capital, the US military said on Wednesday.
In the late hours of Tuesday, militants opened fire on a US soldier in north-east Baghdad, the statement said. The soldier died of his wounds.
In another attack, another US soldier was killed when a bomb targeted his vehicle in the same area, the statement said.
The attacks bring the number of killed US soldiers to 4,058 since the US-led invasion of Iraq.
In April alone, at least 46 soldiers were killed, marking the highest death toll during the past seven months. (dpa)
