Two BSF personnel injured in Srinagar grenade blastSrinagar, Oct. 6 : Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured in a grenade blast in Srinagar''s Lal Chowk area on TUesday.

The blast took place a week after top brass of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force bid adieu to three of their colleagueswho were killed fighting suspected militants in Sopore, Kashmir.

The three personnel-- Ramesh Alohia, Pratap Singh and D R Singh-- belonged to No. 179 CRPF Battalion.

"The debt of the motherland is paid only by sheer blood. These men are fortunate they have paid it. We are still indebted to the motherland," said N C Asthana, Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Kashmir. (ANI)
