Vienna  - A 12-year-old boy in Austria is accused of having raped an eight-year-old girl, the Austrian Press Agency reported on Tuesday

Doctors at a hospital in Klagenfurt, in the south of the country, reported the crime, authorities confirmed.

The boy was believed to have lured the girl and a friend of the same age into a basement on Saturday afternoon. He then forced the girl to undress and raped her, the girl told her mother.

The Boy, who already has a police history, cannot be charged for his crime, as he is under-age. Prosecution and social workers are reviewing the case.

The victim, and the young boy who was forced to witness the act, were under shock and receiving therapy. (dpa)
