Triumph to Debut in Indian Market
Triumph, the world famous British motorcycle maker, has recently announced that it is preparing to make its debut in the Indian market in the near future.
The announcement, which was made on Tuesday, comes as fantastic news for motorcycle enthusiasts from across the country who has been eagerly awaiting the brand’s arrival to India.
Although the company hasn’t yet revealed the timeline for the launch of its product, the growing importance of the Indian motorcycle leads one to believe that Triumph will not wait long.
According to Triumph Motorcycles UK Chief Executive Officer Nick Bloor, "India is a very important motorcycle market and Triumph has assessed it carefully before deciding to step in. We see it as the next step in our global business model”.
Triumph is expected to import its bikes through completely built unit channels and it is also widely believed that Triumph will roll-out its 800 cc capacity bikes in order to bypass the lengthy homologation process, which is mandatory for completely built units with a capacity lower than 800 cc.
While Triumph is expected to include the Triumph Bonneville and the Rocket III in their line-up, it is highly unlikely that the full range of Triumph products will be released in India any time soon.
