Third consecutive day for Grain futures to go upward
Despite extended favorable weather and a 0.65 percent rise in the dollar index, Commodity prices rose on the Chicago Board of Trade on Thursday.
According to the official reports, Corn was up 1/4 to up 3, soybeans were up 8 3/4 to up 10 1/2, wheat was up 10 1/2 to up 11 1/4 and oats were up 2 1/2 to up 2 3/4.
Global corn production for the year would reach a record high of 809 million metric tons, the International Grain Council has said.
It was also reported that wheat production was pegged at 658 million metric tons, a drop of 17 million metric tons from a year ago.
With weekly sales at 94.2 percent of the U. S. Department of Agriculture forecast for the year to date, Soybean futures found support from fund traders. (With Inputs from Agencies)
