Terra Firma to fuel in more cash into the EMI

Terra Firma to fuel in more cash into the EMITerra Firma has put in 105 million pounds further into EMI; however the sources commented that it is sufficient to keep the music group out of the hands of lender Citigroup.

The Financier Guy Hands' group earlier had also taken the approval from the investors to put in the money, and pump blood into the staggering and struggling group subsequently within the terms of its loan. The transfer of the equity to EMI shall be done till Monday.

However the firm, Terra Firma and Citigroup didn’t comment on the same.

The 4 billion pound acquisition made by Hand’s of EMI in 2007 has come to save the threats of the leveraged buy-outs, amidst the mounting credit bubble, with the debt burden mounting high on shoulders and the volatile performance shaking the business.

Although the Citigroup is still fixed with 3 billion pounds of EMI debt around its neck, and might have taken control of the business if the Terra Firma firm fails to provide the money.

Now the group is expecting to raise 360 million pounds to view EMI through another covenant test until 2015. The group has secured 105 million pounds which may keep the group running and shall keep EMI out of Citigroup's hands for yet another year.

The Terra Firma's 80% investors, voted in favor of the fund raising.
