Telangana Rashtra Samithi members stall AP assembly, House adjourned

Hyderabad, Feb 13 : Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) legislators today stalled the proceedings of Andhra Pradesh Assembly, demanding the House to pass an immediate resolution on statehood for Telengana.
TRS members were waving placards and raising slogans in support of formation of separate Telangana state.
They have been suspended from the Legislative Council. The trouble started in the Assembly when the Speaker, K. R. Suresh Reddy, disallowed five adjournment motions on different issues given by various opposition parties, including TRS.
Reddy made repeated appeals to the agitated members to resume their seats and allow the Government to move a motion of thanks to Governor's address.
As TRS members continued the furore, Reddy adjourned the House for the day.
TRS is a sub-regional party, which has 26 MLAs in the 294-member Assembly and four MPs, has already announced that all the representatives of the party would submit their resignations on March 6 if the Centre failed to respond on the issue. (ANI)
