LG Offers Insurance On Lost GSM Handsets

Mobile handset maker LG Electronics has joined hands with United India LG GSM HandsetsInsurance Company to offer mobile theft insurance plan for its customers.

The company’s plan will insure all LG GSM handsets purchased on or after April 1, 2008, for one year from the purchasing date.

New LG Black Series Phone To Hit European Markets By April 24

After the huge popularity of the two LG Black Label series models – ‘LG New LG Black Series Phone Chocolate’ and ‘LG Shine’, the company has made announcement about the imminent global launch of the third handset under the same series.

The upcoming slider style phone comes packed with superb features, and is in fact LG’s slimmest slider phone.

The sliding screen of the phone lifts to disclose the keypad, as well as a five megapixel camera. Besides, it has three shortcut buttons for answering a call, hanging up on a call and a cancel button sit below the shiny face.

LG has launched its new variety of widescreen entertainment notebook LG E300 Notebook Computer computers - the E200 and the E300, in the Indian market.

Housed in a beautiful glossy black finish, the new notebook computers come with a 12.1 inches (E200) and 13.3 inches (E300) wide-screen LCD, together with the power saving modules that offers extended battery life.

LG Electronics has unveiled its next generation mobile phones including LG Viewty (KU990), the KF600, the thin and modish phone KF510 and the much awaited smart phone KS20, at the ongoing Mobile Asia 2008 exhibition in Delhi.

LG To Bring Out 20 New Phones; Expect Sales Of 4 Mn GSM Handsets By Next Year

LGLG Electronics India Private Ltd (LGEIL) has declared that the company would launch around 20 new cell phones by the coming year.

Additionally, the company aspires to triple its business in the GSM section, and plans to sell four million handsets by the coming year (2008).

The company has decided to invest more than Rs 11 billion (USD 278 million) by 2011 in order to reinforce its share in the Indian market.

V Ramachandran, Director, Sales and Marketing of LG said, "We are targeting 8-10 per cent market share in couple of years...we expect to double our handset revenues numbers."
