The Indian cricket board has decided to conduct an Inter-Corporate prize money tournament to promote employment opportunities for cricket players of the country. It was decided at the meeting of BCCI working committee held in Mumbai on Saturday. The cricket body would offer lucrative prizes to the winners and encourage the corporate houses to recruit young players for the proposed 50-over and Twenty20 format cricket matches.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) can take more time to approve Ranbaxy's generic version of GSK's anti-migraine medicine, Imitrex. The delay may cause potential loss of Rs 300 crore to the drug major. Research Analyst Ranjit Kapadia said, "Since, Ranbaxy has not been able to launch the drug in the US and patent for the drug is also going to expire in February 2009, the company may have to suffer a potential revenue loss of Rs 240-250 crore in the current year."

American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian government four years ago to help improve the health care scenario in India in association with doctors in Delhi.

The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) has issued warning regarding sinusitis. Doctors say that that if stuffy nose, headache and other symptoms of cold persist for more than two weeks, it may be sinusitis.
Sinusitis is generally initiated by a viral common cold affecting the nose. The viruses can spread to the sinuses and pave way for a secondary bacterial infection and subsequent acute sinusitis. Its major symptoms are a green or gray nasal discharge, foul tasting post-nasal drip, facial pain/pressure or light fever.
Vijay Mallya-promoted Kingfisher Airlines has finally slashed its domestic basic fares by up to 65 per cent, indicating an average reduction of around 20 per cent in overall fares.
Last week, Kingfisher had declared a range of fare cuts without indicating the quantum of cuts across sectors.
The company's announcement follows moves by rival Jet Airways and Air India, the country's national carrier to trim their basic fares by an average of 50 per cent and 40 per cent respectively.
