Chidambaram will be presenting his fifth Budget in a row and his seventh budget overall at 11 this morning.

After a widely accepted Rail Budget, it is likely that Chidambaram will announce a please-all budget.

After a widely accepted Rail Budget, it is likely that Chidambaram will announce a please-all budget.

Political analysts believe that as this would be the last full budget of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government, Chidambaram will provide relief to almost all sections of society.

It is expected that farmers, who are passing through an agrarian crisis, would get relief in the General Budget 2008-09.

New Delhi, Feb 28: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi ParishadActivists of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday went on a hunger strike to protest extracts from an essay recommended for reading in a history course at the undergraduate level of the Delhi University, which they claim are objectionable remarks against the Lord Rama.

Protesters raised slogans and went around carrying banners and demanded the removal of objectionable contents from the syllabus.

"In the Delhi University's B. A honours History syllabus, derogatory comments about Lord Ram and Sita has been made,” regional minister ABVP Sunil Kumar said.
