Filling of nominations for second phase of Lok Sabha ends todayNew Delhi, Apr 4 : The filing of nominations for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls will close this evening.

In this phase, 141 parliamentary constituencies in 13 States will go to polls on April 23.

The last day for withdrawal of candidature is April 8.

In Orissa, as many as 11 Lok Sabha seats and 77 Assembly constituencies are going for the elections on April 23. On Friday, 21 candidates filed their papers for the Lok Sabha while 211 candidates filed for the Assembly constituencies.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) politicians led by Lal Krishna Advani, the party's prime ministerial candidate, unveiled the document in New Delhi on a day Hindus mark as "Ram Navmi," or the birth anniversary of the god Ram.

The decision came days after Paswan joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad and the Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh to form an alliance to contest the upcoming general elections.

Hajipur will go to the polls on April 23 in the second phase of the three-phased elections in Bihar.
