New York, Jan 16 : Pop star Madonna's daughter Lourdes worked a miracle, as she has made her mum and step-dad Guy Ritchie break the ice and become friendly post their bitter divorce.

Taking Lourdes' advice, Madonna and Ritchie are trying to be as friendly as possible.

"Madonna and Guy aren't reconciling," the New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

"They're working very hard to have an amicable divorce, because [Madonna's daughter] Lourdes came to them begging, `Please don't be mean to each other.' Then she told them she wanted everything to be as friendly as possible," the source added.

London, Jan 16 : Late musician John Lennon's sister Julia Baird has hit out at the peace duo Bono and Bob Geldof for not promoting world peace adequately.

Julia has gone to the length of saying that her brother would have done much more for world peace, if he were alive.

She insists that the two musicians have only been able to hog the limelight as global campaigners due to Lennon's absence.

"People like Bono and Geldof have only been able to take centre stage as they have because John's not here," the Daily Express quoted Julia, as saying.

"John's hero was Gandhi, which not a lot of people know and he would have been heading in that direction," Julia added.

‘Roughed-up’ Pak comedian Shakeel vows to return to India

Lahore, Jan. 16 : Unperturbed by the recent threats from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and Shiv Sena, famous Pakistani stand-up comedian Shakeel Siddiqui has said that he will return to India soon.

Talking to media after returning from India Siddiqui said that he is planning to revisit India as soon as possible.

Siddiqui was roughed-up by the MNS and Shiv Sena workers, and was forced out of a television studio in Mumbai recently. The agitating party workers had asked him to leave the country immediately.

"I am not scared of them. I will return and go to every part of the world to promote Pakistan," The Daily Times quoted Siddiqui, as saying.
