Steve Martin insists on using stunt double on film sets

Steve MartinLondon, Feb 6 : American actor Steve Martin has insisted on using a stunt double on film sets, as he says his body is riddled with aches and pains from the active comedy roles he has been performing over the years.

Martin, 63, has been doing his own stunts for decades just to get a laugh after his career took off in the 1970s.

But now he has admitted that with age his body is slowing down and that he worries about the injury he might inflict himself.

Doherty says his country mansion haunted by hellraising ghosts

Pete DohertyWashington, February 6 : `Babyshambles' frontman Pete Doherty says that his country mansion is haunted by a noisy group of hellraising ghosts, due to which he struggles to sleep at night.

The rocker, who recently denied reports his landlord wants to evict him, said that the spirits throw a wild bash in his nine-bedroom home in Wiltshire, England, at night.

"My house is definitely haunted. All of a sudden you hear a mad party going on in the west wing. It used to be the servants'' quarters, which is creepy. When I hear it I just hide," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Springsteen slams Ticketmaster over ‘Working on a Dream’ ticket sales

New York, Feb 6 : American singer songwriter Bruce Springsteen has slammed Ticketmaster for its inappropriate way of selling tickets for his "Working on a Dream" tour.

In an angry letter posted on his website on February 4, Springsteen slammed the ticketing company for duping his fans when the tickets went on sale on February 2.

"The abuse of our fans and our trust by Ticketmaster has made us as furious as it has made many of you," the New York Daily News quoted him as having written in the lengthy letter to his fans.

"We will continue to do our utmost now and in the future to make sure that these practices are permanently curtailed on our tours," he stated.

Hilary Duff teams up with DKNY to start own fashion line

Hilary DuffWashington, Feb 6 : Pop star Hilary Duff has teamed up with celebrated fashion label DKNY to create her own fashion line.

Duff seems to be following in the footsteps of Hollywood actress Rachel Bilson, who last year collaborated with same label in a bid to launch her own fashion line.

Duff's fashion line will focus on clothing for young women, including denims, tunics, and scarves.

Zellweger, Franco honoured with Hasty Pudding award

London, Feb 6 : Hollywood actors Renee Zellweger and James Franco have been honoured with the title of 2009 Woman and Man of the Year at the Harvard University''s Hasty Pudding Theatrical Society.

While the Bridget Jones''s Diary was honoured with the title on February 5, actor Franco will receive the gong on February 13, reports Daily Express,

Zellweger led the parade through Harvard Square to the ceremony at the university''s New College Theatre.

The society picks a famous actor and actress to receive the gong every year, and usually treats the recipients to a celebratory ''roast'' when they dish out the trophies.
