Bachata Bachata is a Latin folk dance. Priti Gupta of Dance Sports India who teaches this form says, "Bachata is actually a kind of music, and a dance routine developed as a result of it. It was a peasant dance, which slowly gained popularity all over the world." According to her, this dance is meant for people from all age groups as it is quite simple, and the best part is that one doesn't need to go through a long course to learn it! "A workshop of two-three days is enough to learn the basics," says Preeti.

Varanasi, Feb 28 : Pinky Sonkar, the protagonist of Oscar winning documentary `Smile Pinky', got a rousing welcome at her native village here on Saturday.
`Smile Pinky' is the story of a child with a lip deformity which won the award for best short documentary at the famed Academy Awards.
Pinki's neighbours and relatives gathered at the Varanasi airport and greeted her with garlands.
The shy little girl was accompanied by her father and Dr. Subodh Singh, the surgeon who gave Pinki the smile that ushered her into the Hollywood's Red Carpet.
Washington, Feb 28 : Irish singer Bono has revealed that he fears his children find him boring after he overheard his eldest daughter saying so, during a dinner with superstar couple Beyonce and Jay-Z.
U2's lead vocalist Bono, 48, has two daughters, Jordan, 19, and Memphis, 17, with wife Alison Hewson, and he heard his daughter telling her friends about him.
"I went in to get some wine out of the fridge and I heard her talking to her friends, because she loves Jay-Z and Beyonce," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
