London, February 25: Heavy metal band Metallica were saved from splitting up by the Rolling Stones, when they were in limbo after releasing their 2003 album `St Anger'.

Drummer Lars Ulrich, a founding member of the band, has admitted that their future seemed "pretty bleak" when frontman James Hetfield took months off to fight his addiction to alcohol.

He even revealed that he was preparing himself for "something different".

However, he added, an invitation from the Rolling Stones to perform with them saved their band from meltdown.

The actor bagged the Best Actor gong at the ceremony for his performance in `Milk' based on the life of gay rights activist and politician Harvey Milk, who was the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California.

London, February 25 : Cancer-stricken Jade Goody has vowed to be present at her sons' Christening `next week'.

The `Big Brother' star, who had been given just few weeks to live by doctors after being diagnosed with cervical cancer, was ordered to have complete rest after her exhaustive wedding on February 22.

However, the 27-year-old was adamant to defy the medics and has been busy organising her "final wish" to have her sons Bobby, aged five and Freddie, aged four, baptised as soon as possible.

Jon was convicted in November last year of raping and sexually assaulting aspiring models as young as 14.

As the contents of sealed motions filed in the case are to be revealed on February 27, it is being speculated that he might get a new trial.

London, Feb 25: Family and friends of cancer-stricken Jade Goody are organising a massive walk to raise money to fight the deadly disease.

More than 500 people have already signed up for the event, which will take place on February 28.

Big Brother star's new hubby Jack Tweed will also take part if Jade is well enough for him to leave her. His siblings have also pledged support.

Organiser and friend Jerri Lee, 24, said Walk for Jade took off when she posted details on Facebook.
