London, January 28 : `Take That' star Howard Donald "wanted to throw himself into the Thames" after the band split in 1996.

The 40-year-old revealed the news had ripped him apart and prompted him to consider suicide.

"I didn''t want us to split ... I was p***** off," the Mirror quoted him as telling Q magazine.

"I walked out the hotel and I wanted to throw myself into the Thames ... but I thought ''Knowing me I''ll end up in the middle of the river and the tide will go out and I''ll be in the papers stuck in the Thames mud looking like a c**k,"'' he added.

Washington, Jan 28 : Susan Sarandon has reportedly joined forces with George Clooney to star in the final episode of the NBC series `ER'.

While the `Ocean's Eleven' star is reprising his role in the episode Sarandon will be making a guest appearance, reports E! Online.

According to sources, Sarandon filmed scenes late last week with fellow Oscar winner Clooney on the set of ER at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.

The episode will air toward the end of the current final season of the long-running series.

Washington, January 28 : Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal was reportedly seen checking in at a Los Angeles court as part of the jury selection process on Tuesday, in connection with an upcoming misdemeanour battery trial.

According to TMZ. com, the 28-year-old star went through court questioning in a private room to determine juror suitability.

He will be returning to court on Wednesday to find out whether he has been picked, reports Contactmusic.

Madonna was considered for jury service in the city last year, but was dismissed by the judge during the selection process.
