Six wounded as Israeli planes strike northern Gaza Gaza  - Six people were wounded after Israeli F16 planes hit two targets near the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, witnesses and doctors said.

Jabalia residents said Israeli aircraft fired two missiles east of the camp.

Earlier Friday, Israeli planes carried out three airstrikes on the border area between the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah and Egypt, targeting underground tunnels used for smuggling.

Clinton to attend Egyptian conference for Gaza aid Washington  - US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Friday she plans to attend an international donors conference in Egypt next month to help rebuild the Gaza Strip following Israeli's military assault in the tiny enclave.

During a speech at the Asia Society in New York Clinton said that she will participate in the March 2 conference, one day after meeting Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Ali Aboul Gheit in Washington.

Speaking at a press conference in The Hague, Palestinian Foreign Affairs Minister Riyad al-Malki and Justice Minister Ali Khashan said they had given ICC chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo evidence that alleged Israel committed such crimes.

Egyptian security forces detain 30 truck drivers on road to GazaCairo - Egyptian security forces have detained 30 Egyptian truck drivers delivering supplies to the Gaza Strip, a source in the interior ministry told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa on Wednesday.

The drivers were held, pending investigation, in Northern Sinai, the source said on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

He added that if security forces found nothing after a thorough investigation and search of the trucks, the drivers would be released and allowed to continue their journey.

UN investigates deaths and destruction at its Gaza premises

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moonNew York  - UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon appointed Tuesday a board of inquiry into incidents that caused deaths and destruction at UN compounds in Gaza Strip during the recent Israel-Hamas conflict.

The board will be headed by Ian Martin, a Briton that has led various crucial UN missions around the world, who is called to complete the inquiry and submit a report within one month.

Ban said the board will comprise legal advisers and a military expert.
