Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan are all set to take part in the Mumbai Marathon to show solidarity with a cause taken up by actor Rahul Bose's NGO.
“Children are the future of India and as UNICEF’S Goodwill Ambassador. I have pledged to speak up for the cause of children whenever and wherever it is necessary. I am participating in this marathon to support HEAL, a project run by Rahul Bose’s NGO,” said Sharmila in a statement.
Asiya Andrabi, head of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, sent a legal notice to Rahul Dholakia demanding that she should first see the script of movie Lamha. Reports claim that Bipasha Basu's role in Lamhaa portrays the life of a woman Kashmiri separatist leader Asiya Andrabi.
The notice says: "As Asiya is a political personality and follower of Islam, she doesn't want to be portrayed by any actress in the movie who is incompatible with her virtues."
Now the public will get to watch the serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in a "different" role in his forth coming film "Raaz - The Mystery Continues" (RTMC), in which he plays the role of a brooding painter. Ace story teller Tapan Sinha, who won 19 National Awards under different categories, and was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for lifetime achievement last year, died at a hospital in Kolkata on Thursday after a prolonged illness.
According to hospital sources, “Sinha died early Thursday at the hospital. He was suffering from acute bronco-pneumonia and was on life support system.”
“His pulse rates were very low and he had stopped responding to medication since Wednesday night,” the sources added.
