U2 to preview new album on BBC Radio 1 later this month

Washington, February 14 : Irish rock band U2 will be performing songs from their new album `No Line on the Horizon' on BBC Radio 1 later this month.

An announcement made in this respect said that Bono and other band members will play three songs for a session in the Radio 1 Live Lounge on February 27, before appearing on Chris Evans'' Radio 2 show later that day.

According to reports, their Live Lounge appearance coincides with DJ Jo Whiley''s return to Radio 1 after five months'' maternity leave.

"Time has flown and I''m very excited about getting back to my show and being reunited with my radio family," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

Barack Obama licence plates unveiled to benefit Illinois libraries

Barack ObamaChicago, February 14 : An "Illinois Salutes Barack Obama" licence plate has been unveiled in the State, which can be used for 60 days from Tuesday onwards.

The temporary licence place was unveiled by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White.

Proceeds from the Barack Obama license plate will benefit libraries in the State.

President Obama appears to be smiling in the plates, seemingly gazing towards the temporary numbers.
