Tania Zaetta’s out-of-court settlement with paper over ‘sex with troops’ report

Melbourne, Sept 21 : Australian actress and TV personality Tania Zaetta has made an out-of-court settlement with a newspaper that claimed that the Defence Department was investigating her alleged romps with soldiers in Afghanistan.

"All I can say is the Defence Department has apologised to me and made a public statement that the allegations were totally false," Zaetta was quoted by theage. com. au, as saying.

She added: "It was important to me to clear my name and Defence has done that. I''m very satisfied with the settlement today with The Daily Telegraph. The matter is now over and I greatly look forward to getting on with my career."

Zaetta had filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court saying the Telegraph report portrayed her in negative light and brought her into "public scandal, odium and contempt"

The 38-year-old has repeatedly denied allegations of having sex with soldiers or having consented to being filmed or snapped while in the act. (ANI)
