Taj Hotels Launch ‘The Gateway Hotel’ Chain

The Indian Hotels Co is planning to launch a new chain of hotels, branded as “The Gateway Taj Hotels Launch ‘The Gateway Hotel’ ChainHotel”.

The TATA group owned company is eying the increasing number of guest profiles. The company would introduce 50 operating and signed hotels in the next three years. The TATA group is already running the topend ‘TheTaj’ brand and the economy brand ‘Ginger’ chain of hotels.

The senior V-P (sales and marketing), IHCL, Ajoi Misra said that the Gateway Hotel would cover a pan-India network of hotels and resorts at justified prices. The customers would be served with Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000 as per location.

The group also wants to expand its business in small towns of India. It intends to open new hotels at Varanasi and Agra as the cities have huge customer’s potential.

The company will rebrand hotels as Gaateway, at Agra, Bangalore, Calicut, Chikmagalur, Conoor, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Madurai, Mangalore, Nasik, Sasan Gir, Surat, Vadodara, Varanasi, Vijaywada and Visakhapatnam.
