Wind power major Suzlon Energy on Saturday announced its first quarter results for FY10.

The company has posted a net loss of Rs 160 crore for the quarter ended June 30, against a net profit of Rs 88 crore in the same period the previous fiscal.

In addition, the company also registered a decline of 75 per cent in its total income, which dropped to Rs. 359 crore in the first quarter, from Rs 1496 crore in the year-ago period.

On consolidated basis, the company posted a net loss in the quarter at Rs. 453 crore compared to Rs. 9.30 crore in the previous corresponding period.

However, its consolidated total income grew to Rs 4193 crore whereas the same had been Rs 3197 crore for the quarter ended June 30 last year.
