Survey: Country's Economic Recovery Is Now Converting Into Healthy Job CreationAccording to the survey conducted by Ma Foi Randstad, a leading integrated HR services provider, the country's economic recovery is now converting into healthy job creation in the well-organized segment, with hiring of human resources at a greater speed in healthcare, hospitality, realty and construction segments and among educational and consultancy institutions.

The survey also showed that the maximum jobs are being generated in the certain regions that comprise Delhi and the NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad.

While the worldwide slump and the substantial impact on the Indian economic system took its toll on jobs, the recovery now underway is once more resulting in improved employment creation in the organized segment.

According to the ''Employment Trends Survey'', around 3,47,463 jobs are to be created during April-June 2010 as against 1,53,564 jobs during January-March 2010.

The report lists the segments where maximum jobs are being created and makes an analysis where job creation is now proceeding at a brisk pace.

The healthcare segment is estimated to create the largest number of new jobs (96,248) during the second quarter (April-June) of the year.

Realty and construction segment is estimated to add 52,115, the second highest job creator in the economy. This will be closely followed by hospitality sector that is estimated to create 49,000 jobs.

IT and ITES division is estimated to add 34,000 new jobs; media and entertainment sector 28,700 jobs; education, training and consultancy 23,200 jobs.

Non-machinery manufacturing (17,300), BFSI (15,800), transport, storage and communication (8,800), pharma (6,100), energy (5,900), manufacture of machinery and equipment (5,300) and trade, including consumer, retail and services (5,000) are likely to raise hiring momentum by the second quarter of the year.

Delhi-NCR is expected to add 20,700 jobs in Q2 (17,650 in Q1), followed by Mumbai with 14,900 jobs in Q2 (12,750 in Q1) and Chennai 6,300 jobs in Q2 (5,600 in Q1).

Kolkata is likely to add 8,350 jobs during January-June 2010, Bangalore 6,800 jobs, Hyderabad 6,200 jobs, Pune 5,400 jobs and Ahmedabad 3,260 jobs.

While commenting on the findings of the Survey, Ma Foi Randstad CEO (India and Sri Lanka) K Pandia Rajan said, ''the expectation of better performance across sectors has increased optimism among companies, resulting in increase in hiring intent.'' Healthcare sector is creating the most number of new jobs for the freshers (36.7 per cent), followed by BFSI (34.1 per cent) and manufacturing of machineries and equipment (29.4 per cent).

Among the cities, Delhi-NCR is leading the job creation for freshers with 34.6 per cent, followed by Ahmedabad (32.1 per cent), and Bangalore (29.7 per cent).

About 75% of total jobs created will be for the experts and freshers are likely to fill the remaining.

The most recent projection for April-June period and estimates of actual job creation in January-March 2010 was arrived at after surveying the employment trends in 650 companies across 13 industry sectors in eight major cities--Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
