Baghdad - A suicide attacker killed 20 army recruits in an attack in Iraq's Diyala province Tuesday, al-Arabiya news channel reported. 

Aswat al-Iraq news agency had earlier reported four dead and 40 injured. 

The agency said the attacker set off a belt of explosives in the city of Baquba to the north-east of Baghdad as dozens of recruits were gathering at Saad barracks to apply to join the Iraqi Army. (dpa)
