South Africa to unleash rookie pace attack on Aussies at WACA

South Africa to unleash rookie pace attack on Aussies at WACAPerth, Jan. 30 : South Africa will unleash one of their youngest pace attacks against Australia''s batsmen at the WACA Ground this evening in a bid to wrest the top spot in world rankings.

The Proteas pace trio on Friday will consist of two debutants, 24-year-old Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Wayne Parnell, 19, who will be led by 24-year-old Morne Morkel.

Tsotsobe will share the new ball with Morkel. It will be the first time South Africa will field two left-arm seamers in a one-day international.

Arthur denied the resting of senior players was an insult to Australia after having beaten them in both the Test and one-day series.

"It''s certainly not an insult at all. Our respect for Australia has never changed. This is about us and it''s an opportunity for us to have a look at our fringe players. These guys are still going to be dead keen on making a point, and dead keen on finishing the tour on a highly successful note," Fox Sports quoted Arthur, as saying.

Arthur confirmed that knocking the Aussies off their perch was the target.

"It is obviously in our minds," Arthur said. (ANI)
