Sonia Gandhi to deliver convocation address at AMU
Aligarh, Feb 16 : UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi will deliver the convocation address at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) on Saturday.
Gandhi, who will be the chief guest on the 60th convocation of this institution, will be extended a ceremonial welcome on her arrival here.
According to reports, the students union of the Aligarh Muslim University will confer its honorary life membership on the UPA chairperson during her visit.
It will be the second time that a woman will be delivering the convocation address at the Aligarh Muslim University.
Nawab Sultan Jahan Begum of Bhopal, the founding Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, was the first woman to deliver the convocation address on January 26, 1925. (ANI)
