Sonata Software records 4 percent annual growth despite of 13 percent revenue decline
Sonata Software, leading Indian IT consulting and services firm, recorded 4 percent annual growth despite of 13 percent revenue decline. It has scored a net profit of Rs. 80 crore for fiscal 2010 and dips the revenue to Rs. 1380 crore in the same period.
During a rigid filing process o Monday, firm assumed earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization also grew by 4 percent year-on-year (YoY) in the fiscal, assuming to be Rs. 171 crore.
Sonata managing director B. Ramaswamy said in a statement that, rise in the annual growth witnessed our attention on value addition services to our customers through some innovations. Our company has always made an effort to improve our solution through technology and domain skills to sustain growth in the period of difficult years.
During recession our company had recorded a decline in revenue to Rs. 880 crore from Rs. 953 crore globally, while the declining process was little slow in India, it was recorder to Rs. 501 crore from Rs. 638 crore in the same period.
In the FY 2010, between January to March, net profits increased slightly to Rs. 19 crore from Rs. 17 crore, but revenue declined to Rs. 319 crore from Rs. 368 crore.
