Six people dead in Mexico in another gruesome finding

Six people dead in Mexico in another gruesome finding Mexico City  - Six people were found dead Thursday in the Mexican state of Michoacan, including three who had been cut up and placed in bags, state authorities confirmed.

The dead bodies of three men aged 20-30 were found dumped by a roadside in the outskirts of Michoacan capital Morelia, the state's Public Security Ministry said.

A message written on cardboard had been left by the bodies, with a warning to some "Fernando Hernandez, El Garras" and "those who do not want to cooperate."

"Use your head. Michoacan is for Michoacan natives," the message said.

In an even more gruesome finding, three other people were found dead at dawn in the town of Uruapan, west of Morelia. Their bodies had been cut up and bagged.

Killings of this kind are frequent in Mexico's violent drug war.

Some 6,300 people were killed in the country last year in incidents linked to organized crime, while more than 1,000 others have been killed in similar circumstances so far this year. (dpa)
