Sensex start weakly once again on Tuesday morning
On Tuesday morning, a key Indian equities index again started weak and was ruling 47 points lower about half an hour into trade.
Opening at 17,831.38 points, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was ruling at 17,805.14 points, down 47.86 points or 0.27 percent from its previous close at 17,853 points.
On Monday, the Sensex had languished in a listless trade and ended moderately in the red.
The broader 50-share S&P CNX Nifty at the National Stock Exchange (NSE), was at 5,321.35 points, against the previous close at 5,399.7 points, a loss of 0.34 percent.
However, broader market indices were in the green, with the BSE mid-cap index up 0.28 percent and the BSE small cap index ruling 0.53 percent higher. (With Inputs from Agencies)
