Sensex Down 51 Pts At 9059.05 @ 15:10 hrsDuring late afternoon trade today (03:10 p.m.), the 30-share index Sensex fell deep into the negative terrain in account of heavy selling action witnessed in stocks including RCom (down 6.95%), Tata Motors (down 5.45%), HDFC (down 4.7%), Jaiprakash Associates (down 4.15%), ICICI Bank (down 4.1%), ONGC (down 3.65%), Bharti Airtel (down 3.3%), RIL (down 2.2%) and a few other frontliners,

The Sensex lost 51 points at 9059.05, while Nifty stood at 2742.20, down 30.90 points.

Hindustan Unilever, Grasim Industries, NTPC, HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco and Sterlite Industries have lost between 1% to 3%.

DLF has slipped around 1%. L&T and BHEL also plunged into the negative zone.

At the same time, Siemens, which lost 12.25% to Rs 209.70, was the major loser in the Nifty index. Zee Entertainment shed more than 10% at Rs 112, while Reliance Capital, a fresh entrant to the Nifty fold, slipped 7.6% at Rs 403.60.

Cairn India, Suzlon Energy, Tata Communications, Reliance Power and ABB exhibited weakness and lost 4% - 7%.

Reliance Petroleum, Unitech, Power Grid Corporation and Idea Cellular have also recorded heavy losses.

Cipla, HCL Technologies, GAIL India, Punjab National Bank and Ambuja Cements were also down.

Infosys Technologies continued to trade strong at Rs 1225, up 5.65%.

The other losers included Ranbaxy Laboratories, Wipro, Tata Power, BPCL, ITC, Hero Honda, ITC, Maruti Suzuki and BHEL.
