The physicians treating Satya Sai Baba said that he is in serious condition.

The doctors added that they have to keep Baba on ventilator.

At first, he responded to treatment but his condition began worsening on April 1.

On March 28, the 86-year-old spiritual leader was shifted to the infirmary at Prashantigram at Puttaparti due to severe lung and chest illnesses.

As per a statement by the Director of the Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, "Bhagwan Satya Saibaba continues to be on ventilator support for helping his respiration and suction of the secretions from the lungs. He continues to be on CRRT system to help the functioning of the kidneys... the condition of Baba is critical."

The group of physicians also diagnosed that Satya Sai Baba, who has hoards of devotees all over the world, have also developed malfunction.

The most recent medical statement released at 10.30 p. m. said that the condition of Baba's important body parts indicated further deterioration.

In the meantime, in Puttaparthi, thousands of lovers jammed the hospital worried to know about Sai Baba's health condition.
