Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has been knocked out of French Open women's single event.

Sania lost in straight sets by 4-6 6-7 against Kazakhstan's Galina Voskoboeva in Roland Garros on Tuesday.

Lack of match practice was quite evident as she committed 6 double faults in first set of the match and failed to capitalize on 4 break points that she got.

First set ended only 46 minutes with Voskoboeva winning the set but Sania played better in second set which went into tie-breaker.

It should be noted that Sania has never gone beyond second round of French Open and now her only hopes are on doubles event.

In doubles event her partner will be Taipei's Chia-Jung and they start their campaign against Chuangurk-Belgian pair of Ipek Senoglu and Yanina Wickmayer.
