Safina stays top of women's rankings Hamburg - The American Williams sisters Serena and Venus are hard on the heels of world number one Dinara Safina in the latest WTA rankings released by the women's governing body WTA on Monday.

Safina, who enjoyed her second week at the top of the rankings, has 9,011 points, while Serena is ranked second 958 points behind.
