Ronaldo facing insurance claim over tunnel crash

Ronaldo facing insurance claim over tunnel crashLondon  - The company that runs Manchester airport confirmed on Friday that it is pursuing an insurance claim against Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Manchester United winger crashed his Ferrari in an airport tunnel last month, causing an estimated 20,000 pounds' (28,900 dollars) worth of damage to brickwork, railings and an exit door.

He walked away uninjured, and was given a lift to training by his team-mate Edwin van der Saar, who later passed along the same road.

An airport spokesman said: "Part of the airport's infrastructure was damaged in a road traffic accident and as is normal practice, our insurers are talking to the other party's insurance company."

Greater Manchester police are still investigating the incident. (dpa)
