‘The Rock’ wants flicks like Damon’s Bourne trilogy

The Rock - WWE
Washington, September 20: Wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson has made it clear that he will now do an action movie only if its script is as qualitative as that of the Bourne trilogy.

Johnson, who was tipped to become the next Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger when he started his movie career with ‘The Mummy’ franchise, said that he still had a liking for action movies.

He, however, bemoaned that Matt Damon starrer series of Bourne flicks had raised the standard of stories accepted by the audiences.

He further said that action movies can perform better at the box-office only if they have well-written scripts.

"I love action movies but with what Matt Damon was able to do with the Bourne series and how kick-ass those movies were, he raised the bar,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

"Whatever material comes in, if it's not that, then I'm not doing it. That's the goal," he added. (With inputs from ANI)
