Washington, Nov 10 : Reince Priebus, the national chairman of the Republican Party said that the party was likely to win the 2016 election if the chosen presidential candidate proved to be a good beer-mate.

Priebus said the party could win if it had a candidate on the ballot who someone actually wanted to have a beer with.

He said that despite emerging victorious in Congressional and governor's races across the country, the party still had a long way to go to win the 2016 elections, ABC News reported.

Addressing reporters at a Christian Science Monitor breakfast in Washington, Priebus said that the party needed to be about perfect as a national party to win the national cultural vote in this country.

He said that while Democrats can be good to win, the Republicans needed to be great in order to win the national election. (ANI)
