London, Aug 21 : An adopted man has reunited with his biological parents after 20 years, all thanks to social networking site MySpace.
Leon Bailey, 25, was adopted by an American couple, after his British mother struggled to cope on her own in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Ever since learning of his adoption, Bailey had been tracking his parents.
"One night I was just relaxing at home watching a movie and I thought to myself, why don''t I look on MySpace, just maybe she might be on there," The Sun quoted Bailey, as telling Sky News.
London, August 21 : Two British men are gearing up to try to beat the world land-speed record of 116mph for a wind-powered vehicle.
Eco-entrepreneur Dale Vince and engineer Richard Jenkins, already in Australia preparing their attempt on the record, have revealed that their British-designed and built craft called Greenbird is carbon-neutral.
The pair said that they were following in the footsteps of Donald Campbell, who used several cars and boats named Bluebird to break speed records.
"Campbell did it with the prevalent fuel of the day - we''re doing it with the prevalent fuel of tomorrow," the BBC quoted Vince as saying.
London - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown told British soldiers on a surprise visit to the British troop base Helmand in Afghanistan Thursday they were in the "front line in the fight against the Taleban".
Rejecting fears that the battle against the al-Qaeda linked Taleban was losing ground, he said: "You know that by what you are doing here you prevent terrorism coming to the streets of Britain."
Kabul - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown arrived Thursday on a surprise visit to Afghanistan and was expected to meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai, an Afghan Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman said.
During his one-day visit, Brown was scheduled to hold a joint press conference with Karzai Thursday in Karzai's fortified presidential palace, spokesman Sultan Ahmad Baheen said at a press conference.
Brown's visit to the war-torn country came a day after French President Nicolas Sarkozy came to Kabul after an attack on French soldiers killed 10 and wounded 21.
London, Aug 21 : British terrorists are just as likely to be married with children and have little religious background as they are to be fundamentalist loners, a leaked MI5 study has said.
Research from the security service found it was impossible to draw up a typical profile of a “British Terrorist” contradicting the perception that all are traditional religious fanatics or Islamic fundamentalists, The Telegraph reported.
