London, Apr 24 : A self-portrait by Adolf Hitler has fetched 10,000 pounds at an auction.

The watercolour is thought to be one of the Nazi leader's earliest works.

The picture, which was painted in 1910 when the artist was 21, shows a figure sitting on a stone bridge with a cross and the initials AH above it. There are no facial features but the hairstyle is reminiscent of the older Hitler's and experts are sure it is a self-portrait, reports The Daily Express.

London, Apr 24 : World War II saga `Inglourious Basterds' by Quentin Tarantino is one of several major titles which will compete for Cannes Film Festival''s top gong.

Others who have made the cut include Ken Loach''s Looking for Eric, starring French footballer Eric Cantona, and the latest films from Ang Lee,

Pedro Almodovar and Jane Campion.

At this year''s event, which runs from 13 to 24 May, twenty films will compete for the coveted Palme d''Or, reports The BBC.

London, Apr 24 : Breast milk has less protein than formula, a new study has claimed.

It has been believed that formula-fed babies, who tend to be bigger, are "programmed" to store fat and so have a higher risk of childhood obesity.

Now, an international study of 1,000 babies, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, has suggested that protein levels in formula should fall.

The study, which was carried out in Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland and Spain, included babies born between 2002 and 2004.

Caroline Cartwright, 47, had received the court order on April 17 after her sex sessions woke up her partially deaf neighbour, and now she could get up to five years for ignoring it.

People living close to Caroline and her hubby Steve, 46, had complained that the "groans, screams and slapping" were so loud, it sounded like domestic violence.

Nishma Raithatha (15) is said never to have come to terms with the murder of her sister Jeshma nearly four years ago. She fell from the top floor of a shopping centre in Harrow, north London, just four days before her 16th birthday.

Rev Angela Tilby praised her “inner gift” and said her “authority” reminded her of Christ.

“When she came on people laughed, but as she opened her mouth the mood altered. Those watching tapped into something we don’t understand,” The Sun quoted her as saying.

She added: “It reminded me bizarrely of how the gospels speak of Jesus.

“They claimed he had an authority which was utterly convincing.
