Islamabad, Feb 6 : Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has expressed annoyance with people who believe that the ISI had been double-crossing the Americans.

"How can one assume the ISI is playing a double game? It was, in fact, the ISI that captured hundreds of al Qaeda operatives from Pakistan," he said.

He rejected allegations that he had been showing leniency towards Taliban militants.

New Delhi, Feb 6 : India has strongly condemned the license given to banned terrorist organisations on territory under Pakistan control.

Speaking to reporters here last evening, Vishnu Prakash, the spokesman of Ministry of External Affairs, said that reports of participation of banned terror outfits like Jaish-e-Muhammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Jamat-ud-Dawa at a rally in Pakistan occupied Kashmir showed the laxity of authorities in Pakistan.

"We have seen reports that representatives of terrorist groups Jaish-e-Muhammad, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Jamat-ud-Dawa participated in a public meeting at Muzaffarabad in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. No effort was made by the authorities to curb the activities of these groups," said Vishnu Prakash.

Islamabad, Feb 6 : Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf says that he loves his life, and is enjoying his lecture tours.

Musharraf, who stood down as Army Chief in November 2007 and resigned as president in August 2008, still occupies the well-guarded Army House.

And adjacent to the sprawling lawns of the Army House is his favourite room with glass windows, expensive furniture, a collection of antiques, and an LCD television set with a sound system.

Islamabad, Feb 6 : Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who is known for his speaking skills and will be in India next month for same purpose, has said that he intends to counter Indians on their own home ground.

The former president seems to be enjoying a peaceful life, though he must be missing what he perceives as his days of glory, said he would visit India next month for delivering lectures on Pakistan and the South Asian regional situation, the Daily Times reported.

Lahore, Feb. 6 : The South Asia Media Commission (SAMC) and the South Asian Free Media Association (SAFMA) have strongly condemned the attack on two Indian journalists by some unidentified persons in Lahore on Thursday.

SAMC chairman N. Ram and SAFMA Secretary General Imtiaz Alam both termed the attack as `shocking' and `unfortunate'.

"The incident is unfortunate and sad at a time when the situation is quite tense," the Daily Times quoted a statement issued by the two media associations, as saying.

Two Indian journalists-Jujhar Singh and Tilak Raj-were attacked by some unidentified persons near a newspaper stand in Lahore's famous Anarkali Bazaar.

Islamabad  - Militants attacked a truck serving Afghanistan-based NATO forces in Pakistan's Khyber tribal region on Friday, injuring five people, an official said.

A car bomb went off in Jamrud area as a truck carrying supplies for the Western troops passed the vehicle, Fida Hussain Bangash, a local administrator, said over the phone.

"Five passers-by, including a couple of schoolchildren, were wounded in the blast," Bangash said.
