Mulford welcomes Pakistan’s response on Mumbai attacks

David C MulfordNew Delhi, Feb 13, : United States Ambassador to India David C. Mulford on Friday welcomed Pakistan's admission that some part of the conspiracy on the Mumbai attacks was hatched on its soil, and described it as "an important step in the right direction" by Islamabad.

Mulford told media persons here that the US will watch ensure that Pakistan completes the investigation and prosecution in the case.

Pranab MukherjeeNew Delhi, Feb 13 : External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, on Friday, said that terrorism in Pakistan poses a direct threat to India and global peace.

Addressing Parliament after Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav had presented his sixth railway budget, Mukherjee said, "We made it clear to Pakistan that terror from its soil is a direct threat to India."

He also maintained that the government would not rest until the terrorists behind the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks are brought to justice.

Opposition ‘offended’ on being associated with Musharraf
