According to The News, the PBC chairman said that the mega event would definitely be held in Pakistan, and its venue would not be changed.

Brown says UK dealing with terrorism in PakistanLondon, Feb. 19 : British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said both UK and USA are working on a joint strategy to deal with the issue of terrorism along the Pak-Afghanistan border.

During his monthly news briefing at the Downing Street he said that the British Government was not just looking in Afghanistan but also at the relationship between Pakistan and the US.

"Our strategy is to complement military action in Afghanistan with policies to improve governance and train the Afghan army and police," the Daily Times quoted Brown, as saying.

Afghan president's Pakistan visit postponed Islamabad  - Afghan President Hamid Karzai's visit to Islamabad scheduled for Thursday was postponed because of bad weather in Kabul, Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Ministry said.

"A new date for the visit will be announced soon," ministry spokesman Abdul Basit said.

Karzai had been scheduled to hold talks with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani during his visit.

Bangladesh admits use of its soil for Mumbai attack

Lahore, Feb. 19 : Bangladesh, for the first time, has `officially' admitted that terrorist outfits operating from its soil may also have been involved in the November 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

"The terrorist attacks that have been carried out within the region in the recent months, even in Mumbai, there is a cross-border linkage among all the terrorists,"The Daily Times quoted Bangladesh's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Hassan Memoud, as saying.

Memoud also accepted that the banned militant outfit, Harkatul Jihadul Islami, has its base in Bangladesh, and continues to function from there.

Pak clueless on what to say, or not, when it comes to KasabIslamabad, Feb. 18: There seems to be a lack of communication between Pakistani authorities as demands and denials for the handing over Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving Mumbai terrorist, from India were made almost simultaneously during the last 24 hours.

Contradictory statements first came-in when the Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan, Sardar Muhammad Ghazi, claimed that Islamabad has formally requested the Indian Government to hand over Kasab so that it could initiate trials of the suspects it has captured.
