London  - Slumdog Millionaire, the Mumbai-based rags-to- riches movie, won top honours Sunday at Britain's most prestigious film awards with a sweeping seven wins, including best film.

It beat four other contenders - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon, Milk and The Reader - to win best film at the awards ceremony in London's Royal Opera House.

London  - Arsenal had Emmanuel Eboue sent off after 36 minutes, but still held on to draw 0-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Sunday.

Spurs have not beaten their North London rivals in a league game since 1999, and it is a long time since they had a better chance.

London, February 8 : Oscar-nominee Eddie Murphy has reported clinched a multi-million pound child support package deal with former `Spice Girl' Mel B, ending their bitter legal battle.

As per the settlement, Murphy will pay 35,000 pounds a month until their daughter, Iris Angel, turns 18.

This simply means that the actor will have paid about seven million dollars by that time.

Eddie is also said to have agreed to see his 20-month-old child.

London, Feb 08 : Rumours are abuzz that the reason behind Jessica Simpson's sudden `weight gain' is pregnancy.

According to pals, the sexy actress and singer might be expecting a child with her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys hunk Tony Romo, 28.

"She hasn't been packing on the pounds because she's over-eating," the Daily Star quoted a friend, as saying.

"The big rumour from her inner circle is that a baby could be the reason she's carrying some added weight," the friend added.

London, Feb 08 : Aussie singer Dannii Minogue won't be axed as the judge of `The X Factor' after Simon Cowell calculated that keeping her on would help win the ratings battle with the BBC's `Strictly Come Dancing', say sources.

Apart from that, sources say that Cowell also fears making a martyr of Minogue after the embarrassment of last month firing Kelly Brook from his other ITV series, `Britain's Got Talent'.

London  - Bob Geldof's 19-year old daughter Peaches is to split from her husband of six months, it was announced Sunday.

Peaches married US rock star Max Drummey, 24, in a shotgun ceremony in Las Vegas last August.

The pair said in the statement that the split was amicable and no one else was involved.

In a joint statement they added they were looking forward "to a future as good friends".
