Centre sends 1200 CRPF men to Jammu in view of parade ground rallyJammu, Aug 27 : The Centre on Wednesday rushed about 1200 additional Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel to Jammu to assist the local security forces in maintaining law and order in view of a big rally called by the Shri Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti later this evening.

According to official sources, 12 companies of CRPF were airlifted to Jammu from New Delhi.

Militants kill five after sneaking into JammuJammu, Aug 27 : Three militants who are believed to be the same men who infiltrated the international border on Tuesday, killed four civilians and one Junior Commissioned Officer after firing indiscriminately in the Mishriwala area on the outskirts of the city this morning.

High alert has been sounded in Jammu after the incident. Efforts are on to nab the militants who were seen wearing police uniforms and travelling in an autorickshaw after killing the driver.

4 BSF personnel injured in Pak‘s another infiltration bid

Jammu, Aug 26: Four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were injured on Tuesday when Pakistan troops opened fire at the BSF posts along the border in Sabzian area of Poonch District this morning.

The wounded have been admitted to hospital and their condition is stated to be out of danger.

Under the cover of the indiscriminate firing which took place between 12.30 a. m. to 2:00 a. m. on intervening night of Monday-Tuesday a big group of militants managed to cut open the fence and three to four militants of them have sneaked into the Indian side. The Army has been alerted.

New Delhi, Aug 26: In its second infiltration attempt since May, Pakistan troops reportedly opened fire on Tuesday at the Border Security Force (BSF) posts in Kanachak area of Akhnoor sector, allowing some militants to easily infiltrate the International border near Jammu.

Under the cover of the indiscriminate firing which took place between 12.30 a. m. to 2:00 a. m. on intervening night of Monday-Tuesday from across the border, a big group of militants took position near the Kanachak and fired at the BSF post.

According to BSF sources, some of the militants managed to cut open the fence and it appeared that some of them have sneaked into the Indian side. The Army has been alerted.
