Dharamsala, Nov 20 : Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Thursday refused to comment on the ongoing Tibetan meeting in Dharamsala, saying that it might become a hindrance in the free expression of Tibetans.
Hundreds of prominent members of the community in exile are attending a conclave in Dharamsala called by their spiritual leader to discuss the future of the Tibetan people and debate how to advance their cause.
New Delhi, Nov 20 : The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Thursday gave its approval to the National Highways fee (Determination of rates and collection) Rules, 2008.
The National Highways fee (Determination of rates and collection) rules, 2008 will improve the viability of road projects to be implemented on PPP mode by provision of an annual increase in fee.
It will also bring uniformity in fee rate for public funded and private investments projects.
Mumbai, Nov 20 : The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE)''s Sensitive Index (Sensex) tumbled more than five per cent on Thursday, led by losses in top-listed Reliance Industries and financial stocks, joining the rest of Asia in a broad sell-off after U. S. markets plunged.
By noon, the 30-share BSE index was down five per cent at 8,335.02, after falling as low as 8,316.39.
This was its lowest since October 27, when it touched a three-year low of 7,697.39.
The 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) index was down 4.33 per cent at 2,520.90.
