Dhaka - Bangladesh and Germany will hold talks on bilateral trade and investment next week as a top German official is expected to arrive in Dhaka on a two-day visit, officials said Thursday.

State Secretary Reinhard Silberberg of the German Foreign Office will arrive in Dhaka on January 27 to discuss the entire range of bilateral cooperation with his Bangladesh counterpart Touhid Hossain, an official at the German embassy in Dhaka said.

Hamburg  - A wedding dress should be festive, and a close look at the current bridal collections reveal more than just classic styles and fabrics.

But the bride's outfit is not complete until her make-up is on and her hair is styled. However, women should not go overboard on their big day. Hair and makeup do not require a lot of preparation.

Frankfurt  - There are many ways couples can save money when planning their wedding.

"The bridal gown most certainly can be rented for a reasonable price or bought second-hand," said Friederike Mauritz, chairwoman of the association of German wedding planners in Frankfurt. A second-hand dress may have to be altered, so that cost should be taken into consideration when considering the purchase.

Berlin  - As Valkyrie opens Thursday to the general public in Germany, the film about the 1944 plot to kill Hitler brings Hollywood glamour to one of the less known episodes of Germany's Nazi history.

The US-German co-production is based on events leading up to July 20, 1944, when German officer Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, played by Tom Cruise, tried to kill Hitler by placing explosives under his table.

Audiences Wednesday at a preview screening spoke positively about Valkyrie.

Dusseldorf - Champions Bayern Munich will defend their Bundesliga title this season, all the German league's coaches say in a poll by Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.

Although Hoffenheim lead the table on goal difference over Bayern (both 35 points), none of the coaches predict the promoted side will stay the course.

Former Bayern coach Felix Magath, now in charge of Wolfsburg, said: "Bayern will win, despite their initial difficulties. They have the strongest squad and will profit from the experience they have playing for titles."
