Danish parliament approves bridge to Germany Copenhagen - The Danish parliament Thursday approved a 19- kilometre bridge link to neighbouring Germany across the Fehmarn Belt, a strait between the Danish island of Lolland and the German island of Fehmarn.

Parliament voted 104 to 3 in favour of the link. Transport Minister Lars Barfoed said it was a "historic decision that will link the Nordic region, and thereby Denmark, with the rest of the European continent."

Danish Supreme Court convicts six in terror T-shirt case Copenhagen - The Danish Supreme Court on Wednesday convicted six people of supporting terrorist groups by selling T-shirts, but handed down suspended sentences.

The six were charged under anti-terrorism laws with using proceeds from the T-shirt sales to fund the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

DenmarkCopenhagen  - A flight taking Denmark's Prince Frederik and Princess Mary to Chicago was delayed two hours at Copenhagen airport after a fellow passenger quipped that it was "funny they never found the bomb in my pocket", local media said Sunday.

The reports said the 43-year-old Dane who made the remark during check-in was detained after Saturday's incident and he faced a hefty damages claim from the airline involved, SAS.

Security personnel ordered all passengers, including the 40-year- old prince and his 37-year-old wife, off the plane and had it searched before clearing it for take-off two hours later.

Danish queen designs set for film based on H C Andersen story Copenhagen - Danish Queen Margrethe II Friday discussed her experiences of designing sets and costumes for an upcoming film based on a story by writer Hans Christian Andersen.

The film based on the tale The Wild Swans is set for release this autumn.

The queen said she felt "great respect" for the professionals on the crew, but quickly felt that she was welcomed as one of them, Danish news agency Ritzau reported.
