Jennifer Helen Savage, from Mentone has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in imprisonment.

The 39-year-old executive assistant in General Mills Australia was given the American Express corporate card for company business expenses and not her own use, but racked up an enormous bill of 841,000 dollars on her card.

The County Court heard that Savage bought groceries, clothes, petrol, gift vouchers, photographic equipment, computers and electrical items.

Oz police mulls having drunk tanks to hold intoxicated troublemakers

Melbourne, August 3 : Senior police officers in Australia are considering having special cells to hold intoxicated troublemakers until they sober up.

They even held talks with the Brumby Government this week about the cells, dubbed ‘drunk tanks’.

It is believed that the tanks would be similar to holding cells but with safeguards to protect detainees’ health.

The tanks could be modelled on overseas "bed-and-bucket" facilities and security cameras, allowing drunks to be treated and closely monitored.

Police Minister Bob Cameron has confirmed that the issue was raised this week.
