A. R. Rahman escapes a life threat
As the world sings Jai Ho for A R Rahman, the Oscar awarded musical maestro is on a world tour across US, Canada, France, Switzerland, Holland and Britain. He has so far performed to his par excellence in New York, Atlantic City and Chicago.
During his much hyped "Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour," he miraculously escaped a very close life threat. It all happened when a lighting rig, a part of the Pontiac Silver dome infrastructure collapsed in Detroit on his set, just before the show in North America, endangering the lives of the maestro and his dear friends, fans and well-wishers, forcing him to cancel in the mid and postpone the remaining dates.
Rahman will go ahead with his other shows, scheduled in Europe and UK. Terming it as being blessed a second life, Rahman apologized for canceling his North American tour with the assurance of a more energetic and dynamic performance rescheduled at a later date.
The world class musician is on his way to rock the world playing his fine tunes. Long live Rahman, Jai Ho.
