Quality health care assured for TN residents

M-KarunanidhiTamil Nadu government has ensured to provide a quality health support to residents, a report from the Chief Minister M Karunanidhi confirms the same.

CM quoted, "There are no two opinions on the state being a leader in providing quality health care to the people. The Kalaignar insurance scheme launched in 2009 is the jewel in the crown of the DMK's four year rule".

He further added that approximately 1.44 crore living under the BPL state or below poverty line have given a nod for the Kalaignar insurance scheme and as the CM states the results have proven to be encouraging and people have benefited from the same.

It was the moment of felicitation for the Apollo Hospitals Founder-Chairman Dr Pratap C Reddy on being conferred the Padma Vibushan award where the Minister made the comment.

Karunanidhi gave a pat to Dr Reddy for conceptualising 'tele-medicine', which helps people receive treatment at their residence.
